This Fulcrum Insight starts with a somewhat intangible question: Can you feel it?
Feel what? You may be asking. Feel the pain of the human opportunity being violated by the irrational insanity of the 21st century. Feel the presence of unprecedented new possibilities to connect, develop, and evolve. Feel the powerful drive of continuance. Feel the threat of severance humanity is facing from the promise of a bright future. Feel the energies of change in the air. Everything, altogether, all at once. Can you feel at least some of it working through your consciousness?
Because humans are natural feelers. We are made to feel – pleasure, pain, love, desire, compassion, needs, stress, well-being, subtle differences, what is looking at us through a person’s eyes, the tangible, the intangible…
Feeling is a gradient – from the raw to the very fine. From that which is easy to feel, such as the heat in a mid-summer day, to the subtle nudge of the presence of a destiny-making opportunity.
And then, there is the deepening divide between those who feel both the pain and the incredible opportunity, and those lost to the human way, whose lives are dominated by greed, power, and violence, accommodating non-human feelings that have no place in human affairs.
How can a feeling human communicate with a non-feeling human? How can humans whose lives are bound up with the vision of a bright future for all communicate with those intensely engaging in destructive, toxic practices? And, at a time where the energies of change are increasing in potency, thereby powering both camps, engendering continuing uplift opportunities on the up-side, and increasing explosive volatility in those who are blind to what is happening.
What to do when a constructive dialogue is not an option? But then, constructive, refining, elevating, healing, aligning, regenerative, revitalising, meaningful dialogues are absolutely a viable, present option between those that care for the future, and for the children of the future to be born into a better world. Could it be that the more this happens, the more the powers of change, with their accompanying intelligence can do what we cannot do on our own?
It’s a leap of faith mindset, individually and collectively, creating the space for change to do what it is here to do. It needs believers that feel the heartbeat of the future, and every human that cares is a part of this heartbeat. The 21st century is a noisy place. The future is quiet, working its magic through serenity and stillness. Not a sterile kind of stillness, but the kind that makes it possible to feel the presence of utterly constructive pristine forces looking for a home in spaces occupied by the presence of the feeling consciousness that defines a creative human. That is, humans engaged in the creation of their future selves, inside of the search for reason and meaning.
Does this come across a wee bit too up in the air? Well, saying it once more – it calls for an inner leap of faith, which the human instinct is programmed for. Multum in parvo – much in little – there is a lot going for a human being that invests their well-meaning beliefs into small, meaningful actions.
A feeling human is unable to be a deliberate instigator of destructive practices
With best wishes
