The Human Nomad
Today is a new day. Or was it a new day, now getting old before time? Or was it overwhelmed by yesterday before it even began? Perhaps a mixture of all? What has your day been like?
Let’s take this a little further. How are you experiencing today? What is there to be experienced that was never previously experienced? Because the human is born with the ability to create new experience out of thin air, simply by how we approach the next moment in our life.
Being human, we are made and meant to evolve, not to keep repeating our yesterdays, which is what most humans alive are doing today, hypnotized by the magnetizing persuasions of the 21st century. Is modern technology contributing to the process of human refinement, or is it accelerating the coarsening of human process? What do you think?
Being made to evolve, we are gifted with the natural ability to approach a new day in a way that creates a space for new: New ways of thinking, new awareness, new feelings, new stories, and a continuing behavioral refinement. In this context, the human is a naturally born nomad, with every new day being an opportunity for new beginnings. Thus, many lives lived in the time allotment given to us in this life, combining, blending, mixing, with the eventual outcome of the sum of the whole being greater than that of the individual parts – lives in this case.
We all have our struggles, moods, good hair days and bad hair days… It is a question of the nature of our attitude and center of gravity. Do we surrender to the persuasions of general habitual living, or do we choose a way of life that does not compromise the natural spiritually driven instincts, knowing that we have only come to realize a tiny part of what is possible for a human to be and do.
Perhaps have a go at setting yourself up to approach tomorrow from the newness of a fresh, pristine new day, to approach everything like you have never been there before. It may not work perfectly, or even far from perfectly. In maintaining in our life a vacant space that is not occupied by history, we expand the window of opportunity for new self-awareness. And, beyond that, for evolution’s non-linear dimensions to have their way with us, to our greatest benefit and to the benefit of the future that depends on humans to create a clean space for it to continue its appearance in the only form of life here on earth that can spiritually evolve – human beings.
